What do I think about COVID-19

Quarantine. Work from home. Lockdown. Social distancing. Rapid test. PSBB. New normal. Masks. Wash your hand. These terms lately have been repeating again and again. It is almost May, yet its curve does not look like it will be flatter anytime soon. Countless of new devastating news coming in daily. This also includes in which I called side-news or the AfterEffect of the main news. Discrimination cases have increasing these past weeks. From an anti-lockdown white privilege people who has been protesting, Asian kids got beaten up, until a fake news about new method to cure the virus naturally. Of course, it does not just come with a bad side effect. More inspiration to do something at home except just binging Netflix, more charity is being done for the first responder workers in the front line, more recognition and appreciation for the workers who usually we tend to neglect on daily life, as well as more solidarity is shown to combat this pandemic together as a human being through music. 

A lot has happened since the very first case in December-January. The world is changing. People is changing. But the virus still looking strong on its feet, not planning to go anywhere short in the future. Every governments around the world trying to see its best method to deal with the pandemic given their current circumstances. One has it a bit easier mostly because it has more resources and information than other (China), it seriously fast and efficient in dealing with the infected one (South Korea), or its just simply have smaller scale to begin with (no shade, Singapore). But unfortunate one got hit hard. There is one with its ignorant leader leading to a worse outbreak in the end (US), but there is also one that does not really have a lot of resources to begin with added into its neglecting young population (Italy). In short It is different everywhere and since it is a pandemic, literally the whole globe is suffering from it. 

Having people infected, rising cases, and continuous news is just examples of part of the spectrum. Another side to look at is its economy. People got fired everywhere, companies losing its profit, supply chain altered in a way no one could imagine, production stopped or halted half way, no more buying except necessities, business investment falling down as uncertainty of the market rising, debt for government is piling up to finance the pandemic, and many other pretty significant aspect of our society. Some even says that we really need to change our economic state and how market works if we do not want to be torn apart twice after this pandemic end. If it ever ends. I am 50-50 on that. Look, if we really going to talk about data, if a pandemic strikes, the one who suffered the most has always been the one with no steady job, living from paycheck to paycheck, does not have good insurance and basic social welfare, basically people in the bottom part of our society. Sometimes the real world could be way too cruel for its people. It really is not your avatar in The Sims whom you can play around and just cheat to have tons of money, then it will solve everything. 

May God decide when this will end. But, If I allowed to ask, will you finish this early? I think we already got our lessons. People suffering daily, unlike the past normal, nowadays normal, the number of people who suffer reach thousands in one day. There are almost 4 million cases worldwide. I do not know how this post-pandemic situations will look like, but I really do feel bad for the people who directly fighting this virus. I do not have anything to whine nor do I have something to protest with everything that is going on, but the world has suffered enough. I am powerless teenager with a pinch of dream for the future. I still believe in humanity and the power of people to defeat this virus. It will not bring us down and we will be able to overcome it. However, there has to be Your will for this to be able to end. Please deliver Your messages that you have left and close this case as quickly as possible. Hence, whenever that is it really is up to You. I will continue to have faith and hoping the best for everyone in this situation. 

One last note: We see You. Wee see how You could just easily snapped Your fingers and thousands people die. We also see the upside and downside effect of this event and I would like to give my greatest gratitude. You let us see the unseen. The importance of seeing the unseen. Unfolding the unfolded. Looking at it with an awe in no other way one would able to explain.
