CLIMATE CHANGE STRIKE!!

This may be one of an event worth mentioning throughout my uwc experience. The basic information that you guys need to hear is that this event is a global worldwide climate change strike. Many places around the globe doing the same strike as we did at the same time. if you don't believe how big this event, go check this link. At first, the school did not approve because it happened during the school day. Many of my peer students fight for it and demand the school to provide us with transportation and cancel the class. It did not go easy, the school has to arrange a faculty meeting to see the faculty thought about canceling class. Of course, not everyone going as different people has different opinions about it. However, after a heated discussion and a lot of sides involved, the school allows us to go. They send a signup sheet for whoever wants to go. Some faculty still having an optional class for whoever not going to the strike. I think from this event itself I learned a lot about what it called to compromise and respect each other opinion.
